2004 Thierry Allemand Cornas Reynard, Rhone, France
94 Points - Wine Spectator
“A gorgeous nose of crushed blackberry, juniper and coffee leads the way in this seriously ripe yet well-structured Cornas that's loaded with additional tobacco, currant, iron, game and bay leaf notes. The long finish has awesome grip for the vintage. Please call me in a decade if you're opening one.” (JM) Review Date: 10/2007

“Very pretty and refined, the 2004 Thierry Allemand Cornas Reynard offers up solid aromatics of ripe Syrah fruit, black olive, smoked meats and hot asphalt that are supported by a serious mineral and crushed stone backbone. While this doesn’t display the complexity of the ’99 Chaillot or the sheer depth of the ’06 Reynard, it’s stunning none the less. Medium to full bodied in the mouth, it has a layered, silky texture, dense fruit, perfect balance and tannic core that comes through on the finish.” (JD) Review Date: 02/2010
