2002 Domaine Francois Raveneau Montee de Tonnerre, Chablis Premier Cru, France

$749.99

94 Points - Burghound

“To be sure, there is still excellent freshness to the gorgeously complex nose with its aromas of dried white flowers, citrus, mineral reduction and sea breeze wisps. The equally complex and exuberantly delicious middle weight flavors possess a caressing and sophisticated mouth feel while delivering outstanding length on the beautifully long and impeccably well-balanced finale. This is just terrific and given that it is just now knocking on the door of its full maturity it will have no trouble holding for years to come. In sum this is a knock-out. (AM)” Review Date: 12/2017

93 Points - Int’l Wine Cellar

“Musky aromas of chicken broth, lime and crushed stone; quite austere and slow to open. Then less fruity but more important on the palate, with bracing flavors of lemon and apple and an impression of minerality I can only describe as creamy. A very rich, dense wine with a strength of material that belies the normal-for-Raveneau yield of about 50 hectoliters per hectare. (ST)” Review Date: 07/2004
